At Upchained we're not a fan of long and boring job vacancies. We’d much rather introduce you to your future colleagues. So, how about a chat with Sylvie, Digital Supply Chain Consultant at Upchained? That’s actually the first step in our recruitment process—getting to know us, and us getting to know you. Curious about what life as a Digital Supply Chain Consultant looks like? Sylvie is happy to tell you all about it.
Meet Sylvie, our digital supply chain consultant
As a digital supply chain consultant, I help companies translate complex supply chain processes into structured and efficient workflows. I strongly believe in co-creation and collaborate with various departments to develop solutions that are not only technically sound but also practically usable for the people who will work with them.
Technology is just a tool. The real challenge lies in how people work with it. A process or tool is only successful if end users can use it smoothly and with confidence. That human aspect makes my job exciting. I want to ensure that technology is an enabler, not an obstacle. Guiding employees and companies through digital transformation is one of my biggest drivers.

In addition, I am fascinated by the ever-changing world of supply chain management. Geopolitical shifts, sustainability requirements, fluctuating markets—all of these impact businesses. Agility and the ability to adapt to external and internal changes are crucial. As a consultant at Upchained, I am constantly anticipating and responding to these changes. Every project, every client is different, and that keeps me sharp.
What makes Upchained a unique place to work?
We are small and engaged, and we do not support our clients from a distance—we stand right beside them. We go into the warehouses, sit with end users behind the computer, and ensure that implementations align with real-world practice. This pragmatic and human approach is what sets us apart.
Drivers (This is us)
-
The human side, technology is only successful if people enjoy and efficiently use it.
-
I love translating complex issues into clear and workable processes.
-
I thrive in a dynamic environment where technology and business constantly evolve.
-
I enjoy building solutions together with clients and teams to make a real impact.
Turn-offs (this isn't us)
-
Purely strategic work without implementation. I want to see and experience the results of my work, not just put plans on paper.
-
Data analysis is essential, but it must always be linked to real-world insights.
- An ivory tower mentality. Only thinking theoretically without engaging with the workplace
- Rigid structures that hinder innovation and digitalization
